An Open Post to President Obama (Which He Will Never Read)

Mr. President, I don’t have money to give you.  I am up front about this because I know that money is what will make things happen in Washington D.C.  This is not a cynical view, it is a realistic one.  So I know that what I have to say will probably not have a huge impact.

Nor will this probably grace your eyes.  Sure, there are some operatives who will read it for “subversive” or “dangerous” content.  But I will probably be labeled as “fat and unimportant” in the grand scheme of things.  Fine by me, as I’d rather not catch the attention of some highly motivated moral busybody in any government at any level.

But I have to urge you to stand up and start taking responsibility for your actions or the actions done in your name.  You are the President.  Now, your role in the decision making may be minimal, but that doesn’t diminish the expectations and responsibilities that come with the office of the Presidency.

For one thing, your administration has yet to have passed an actual budget for the Federal government.  Now, this is largely due to the disruptions in Congress and I do acknowledge that you technically have no power over what happens there.  But President Obama, you are supposed to be the head of your party.  The Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has continually disrupted the budget process and refuses to compromise with the Republicans in the House.  You can stop that madness by merely telling Senator Reid to stand down and come to the table.

As President, you have the ability to define the budget, which you have done.  However, you have yet to propose a balanced budget.  Instead we have seen the National Debt nearly double since the beginning of your presidency.  And not just a small deficit, but a deficit of nearly double the size of tax revenues.  Former Congressman and Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul proposed a plan that would balance the budget within a single term of his presidency.  No other candidate, including yourself, has even come close to that.  And if he was only half promising such a thing, it would have been better than the plan you have in place right now.

The fact is, in order to reign in the budget and balance it, you have to make hard choices.  I know that they are tough to make, but at the same time the alternative is much worse.  It will be much worse for all of us, save only an elite few who, I suspect, you know and who are counting on you to continue being the irresponsible puppet that you appear to be.

I am asking you to also take responsibility for your failures and own up to them.  The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has proven to be nothing more than an utter failure.  It has eliminated insurance plans and options for people who cannot get health insurance through their employer and made it more expensive for everyone else.  Not to mention the sheer incompetence in the development of the website.

I know that you inherited a huge mess from your predecessor, but every President inherits some kind of mess.  Transitions in power are never pleasant affairs.  At least ours has not been violent thus far.

But you have to understand that even if you did inherit a huge mess, you had no right to blame your predecessor.  Great men stand up and deal with the problems at hand, they do not whine about them.

As for the foreign policy you seem to have endorsed, it is a disaster as well.  Despite winning a Nobel Peace Prize, you have spent a good portion of your Presidency trying to start another war.  There has been no reason to send Americans overseas in order to die for the sake of some vague goal.  On top of that, war crimes have been committed in the name of the United States under your watch.  Drone strikes on civilian targets are acts of aggression and war, not acts of peace and respect.

You promised to have a transparent government, yet you yourself have overseen the prosecution of the whistleblower Bradley Manning, who exposed war crimes committed under the authority of your predecessor.  On top of that, Edward Snowden is effectively exiled for exposing the massive Fourth Amendment violations that have occurred under your watch.

Do we live in a free society or do we live in a society where everyone is suspect?

And while we are discussing matters of justice, why have you not had NSA head James Cooper placed under arrest for lying to Congress.  After all, you saw fit to prosecute Roger Clemens for doing so.  And how much more so is it wrong for a top official within the bureaucracy to lie to Congress, whose main job is bureaucratic oversight?  If members of the bureaucracy are lying even to Congress, then how can the average citizen trust the government?

Mr. President, you are the top guy.  You have the power and position to stop this madness and move our country in a better direction than your predecessors did.  Instead you have squandered your time by making excuses, giving pretty speeches, and going on lavish vacations.  In short, you have acted like every other average asshole has when they get the kind of power you have.

I am simply asking for you to do better.  You represent over 310 million people and therefore everything that is done in your name is done in ours as well.  Stop acting like a child and man the fuck up.

The Great Gay Marriage Distraction

All over the mainstream news, the political buzz is about President Obama and his support of gay marriage.  And why would he not support it as the State is his god and he is its high priest.  So he comes out in support of gay marriage, which critics point out is a 180 degree reversal of what he said in 2008 during his campaign.  I mean, a politician does a reversal on his own campaign promises, imagine that!

The problem I have with all this is not that President Obama supports gay marriage, because I personally believe that the State cannot redefine what is considered sacred and holy before God no matter what laws it passes, but that this is nothing more than one big giant distraction.  It is a distraction from the real issues that truly matter in our society and culture and they are, namely, the fiscal issues that a plaguing the Federal government these days, the onerous Federal regulations imposed on business and labor (which only benefits big corporations all you liberals), and the horrendous violations of human rights in this nation wrought by the ever increasing police state.

Social issues in the United States these days are nothing more than political football games.  We all like to watch them and route for our favorite side but at the end of the day, nothing really gets resolved and nothing is gained.  Given the fact that most social issues involve non-violent activities such as recreational drug use, prostitution, gambling, and sodomy, any liberty-minded individual worth his grain of salt could easily recognize this.  You can make an argument for abortion being a violent activity, as I do, and I do believe that it is an act of aggression against another individual, albeit one currently engaged in parasitical activity with a host (yes, any mother can tell you that the unborn child is basically a parasite sucking up all the best nutrients but unlike most parasites, has no need to reproduce and whose only goal is to grow enough to be able to survive outside the womb).  Even so, I advocate a more Agorist approach to abortion that involves putting abortion clinics out of business due to lack of demand rather than rely on politicians to make the right decisions.

The fact is, any time politicians take up these issues, it is a clear indication that they are losing.  In President Obama’s case, it is clear that he is not expecting to win this year (a horrifying prospect since Willard Romney is just as bad but will have his agenda rubber-stamped by all Republicans anyway) and so he is taking on this issue head on.  I suspect it is largely due to the fact that he has lost a lot of the youth vote to Ron Paul and he is simply trying to take it back as gay marriage is more favorable among the younger generation.

Regardless, this is a clear indication that President Obama is losing right now and he is merely trying to mitigate the damage.  He was unable to start a new war with Iran and had to settle with continuing aggressions in Afghanistan, he has not had an official budget plan that has been approved by Congress, he has added more debt to the Federal government’s name than George W. Bush managed to do in his eight years (not an endorsement of Bush, who doubled the national debt), and he has started a campaign of terror against the American citizenry through his trollish Homeland Security Secretary Janet “Shoulder Pads” Napolitano.

And let’s be honest: despite his campaign of hope and change, nothing really changed and people have less hope for their future prospects as far as the government is concerned.  He has merely continued and expanded the policies that George W. Bush started, despite his campaign promises to the contrary.  The wars continue, with more and more aggression into more countries who don’t want our help nor have they asked for it.  Moreover, none of these nations posed any real threat to the United States.

In essence, the politician who starts throwing out social issue stances is the one who is losing.  I would encourage Republicans to not fall into this trap and merely state that as President there is nothing he can really do about it as he isn’t the one who passes the laws nor interprets them.  If they are feeling bold, they can even mention that this acknowledgement is merely a distraction from his disastrous policies that are bankrupting the Federal government and destroying the opportunities here in the United States.

Of course, I predict that many of them will use this as an opportunity to talk about how they oppose the President’s stance and will do everything in their power to thwart him.  They will do this because most people are idiots and have been conditioned to view the President as a king or a god (or both).  They will freak out about it and demand that their guy does something about.

Meanwhile, the road to economic and financial ruin draws ever closer and no one is all the wiser.

The Right Way, The Wrong Way, and Obama’s Way

It has been a while since I have criticized President Obama, mostly because its too easy, but it is good to remember why the guy is such a big walking waste of human space and air.

Let’s start out with Jack Tapper’s confrontation with Press Secretary:

So basically, President Obama, who promised open government, has decided to prosecute whistleblowers in his own ranks.  This is a very dangerous precedent that is unheard of before as not even President Bush pulled this stunt against his own.  It is no wonder that the establishment wants Mitt Romney and wants Obama out: he’s hunting down their own.

Another broken promise that Obama has made is his promise to close down the Guantanamo Bay prisons.  Now, I know you can make excuses all you want, but the truth is he is the president and he could have made any state take those men and could have the freed the others.  Hell, he could have even killed them all with bullets drenched in pigs blood if he wanted, as he has already demonstrated his willingness to kill US citizens overseas for supposed subversive activity.

On that topic, President Obama has basically become judge, jury, and executioner when he had Anwar al-Awlaki killed by a Predator drone.  He then had the man’s sixteen year old son killed, who was just looking for his father and was eating barbeque at the time of his death.  The justification for the son’s death was that he was afraid he would join forces with a terror cell in response to his father’s death.  In other words, President Obama has acted just as a brutal tyrant would.  Meanwhile, nobody cares that a mother is crying over the loss of her sixteen year old boy and her husband due to some flimsy, half-assed justification.

On the domestic front, President Obama has become good buddies with the CEO of GE, Jeffrey Immelt.  Suddenly, incandescent light bulbs are illegal while GE owns the patent on the compact fluorescent lamp, but there is nothing wrong with that, right?  I mean, if the president wants us all to be more environmentally friendly and enrich himself and Jeffrey Immelt at our expense.

Jeffrey Immelt became the jobs czar (the mere fact that we have czars who are unaccountable to the people and Congress makes me sick) and subsequently moved a lot of his manufacturing to China.  Talk about a scumbag.  I suppose there was nothing shady in that deal either.

Gas prices are going now too, more than likely as a result of several factors:

  1. The various quantitative easings that have been taking place.  I have my doubts, though, as to the purported impact of expansion of the money supply only because there is much less consumer and business debt right now.
  2. The closing of off-shore oil drilling due to the regulators blunder with British Petroleum and the inevitable oil spill that resulted.  Basically, BP was allowed leeway on their safety inspections, probably in exchange for bribes, and this resulted in the oil spill and explosion.
  3. The coming war with Iran.  President Obama has insisted on going to war with yet another Muslim nation and has ordered naval forces into harms way as a means to provoke them into attacking in order to justify the war.  And we’re supposed to think that this warmongering has nothing to do with the rise in the cost of oil?

Let us not forget that President Obama is prosecuting legalized marijuana now as well, something he said he would not do.  Of course, I am sure he has good reason for it.

The list could gone on and on about President Obama’s hypocrisy and downright tyranny, which is much, much worse than President Bush’s was.  I am not a fan of President Bush (I used to be) as he did everything the wrong way.  It made no sense and his primary solutions to problems was more government.  None of these solutions worked, by the way, as the Muslim world hates us even more, our economy is still in shambles, and the police state has gotten worse.

Yet for the bad things that President Bush has done, President Obama has gone the extra mile.  It is the Obama Way: the wrong way but much faster.

The More Things Change

While the Prez Obama has yet to complete his first term, it is turning out be nothing more than the Bush Administration kicked into hyper-drive and twice the cronyism.  The more I evaluate the Prez’s various actions, I can’t help but thing about how much this is like a much more incompetent version of George W. Bush, if that were possible.

Among the first actions the Prez took was to have his shoulder pad wearing linebacker Secretary of Homeland Security declare war veterans, Ron Paul supporters, and most libertarians tagged as potential terrorists.  In other words, that who fiasco, which did backfire due to the treatment of veterans, was nothing more than an early exercise in thought crime enforcement.  Basically, the Prez was targeting all those bitter clingers he mentioned on his campaign trail.  But hey, I guess I shouldn’t complain too much; after all he didn’t bother to target Muslims or extreme communists movement, even though both groups are more likely to commit suicide bombings (see Tamil Tigers for more information on suicide bombing communists).

In any case, I suppose the Prez had good intentions in dealing with political dissidents.   It is not like he used the IRS on them like Bill Clinton did.  He did, however, promise us to close down the prison in Guantanamo Bay and he has done just that.  Oh wait, he has left it open.  He did release some of the prisoners, but many of them returned to Islamic terrorism because they have been imprisoned for several years by Christian America.

Our beloved Prez did make the crucial decision to have Bin Laden executed.  Apparently, it took him several months to make the decision, in which he took several vacations and generally did next to nothing, except release his birth certificate.  It is strange that he had Bin Laden executed around the same time that he released his birth certificate.  Perhaps he did not want any of us to notice that it was a forgery.  Seriously, if it was a direct scan, then the PDF should not have had any layers in it.  He should have released it as a TIFF file.  Maybe then most people would have accepted it and he would not have had to trample Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Speaking of wars, we seem to still be engaged in them on a massive scale.  The Prez has clearly shown his contempt for Congress in defying him by continuing his war in Libya.  Of course, if House Republicans had any balls, they would have defunded the war last week.  Kudos to the Prez for the having the foresight to know that Boehner is a complete buffoon.  In any case, the Prez has exceeded the neocons’ wettest dreams by having the United States engaged in six wars: Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Libya, and now Somalia.  By the end of his term, we are probably going to be engaged in a war with Iran, Kuwait, Botswana, and Texas.  May as well make it an even ten, right?

The Prez has also exposed his own insecurities by repeatedly attacking Texas for their open defiance of the TSA, which never actually made it into law due to some Statist Republicans.  First of all, he denied Federal aid during the tornados or flooding or whatever else is happening in the Midwest that I do not really care about.  Now he has interfered with the execution of Mexican national who brutally raped and murdered a girl all because he was not allowed to speak to some Mexican officials.  I am sure the Mexican government would afford me the same courtesy if I raped a Mexican girl, then beat her head with a rock until her brains spilled out, then stuck a stick with a screw on the end up her nether-region, and all not necessarily in that order.  But hey, diplomacy matters only when you are trying to get back at your rival.

All-in-all, I am impressed that the Prez has managed to not only maintain the Bush agenda, but speed it up while at the same time paying off his supporters with tax dollars of my non-existent children and grandchildren.  Of course he told us it was economic stimulus, but the only thing that ACORN ever stimulated was an underage hooker’s, well, you know what I mean.

Still, the thick irony of it all has me just plain tickled with annoyance and cramping.  While conservatives have been among the biggest suckers for the longest time when it comes to the GOP, it is quite clear that the biggest suckers have been the Left-wing Statists all along.  You see, all those things the Democrats pretended to oppose under Bush were really just angry reactions to ideas they believed the ex-Prez has stolen from them.  In other words, it was never about the cause, but pride.

Best Neocon Ever II

Last week, I highlighted how President Barack Obama was probably the best neoconservative President ever.  I meant every word of it, especially if you read Irving Kristol’s description of it here.  For the most part, Obama has acted more like a neoconservative rather than a progressive while in office.  Then again, if we go back to the early progressives, he’s almost exactly like them, except for the whole racial segregation that was started by the progressives (a great literary example of this can be found with H.P. Lovecraft).

This week, he again proves that he is more of a neocon than a progressive:

I bet most of you didn't know undocumented immigrants contributed more - much more - to the national treasury last year than General Electric. Surprised? Yet it's true.

While GE - which earned a whopping $14 billion last year - is reported to have paid nothing, nada, zero in taxes (GE denies it), the undocumented paid billions in state and local taxes in 2010.

No, it's not me talking; it's the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy (itepnet.org), a prestigious, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization that works on federal, state and local tax policy issues.

Sure you could argue that it was the continuation of the Bush tax cuts that caused this corporate giant to not pay taxes.  But then, how do you explain this:

That’s our President side-by-side with GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt.  Both have engaged in what many on the right call “crony capitalism”, but I simply call it corporatism, which has been the system we’ve been living under since at least the post-World War II era.

In truth, this is nothing more than Obama engaging in corporate favoritism, which is not Socialism nor is it free market economic, but the same thing that so many people criticized George Bush and Dick Chaney for Haliburton.

Meet the new boss, he’s the same as the old boss save the fact that he is merely half a cracker.

Obama, Where’s Your Crown?

You know, there’s very few songs that fit a person almost perfectly, much less a President.  But I think I’ve found the perfect one for our current president.  It’s King Nothing by Metallica.  Let’s break it down, shall we?

Wish I may, wish I might
Have this I wish tonight
Are you satisfied?
Dig for gold, dig for fame
You dig to make your name
Are you pacified?

All the wants you waste
All the things you've chased

It seems to me that our glorious jester wanted nothing more than to be president.  I’ve said it before, I think he liked the idea of being president more than knowing what the actual job entails.  He probably regrets it now and it’s really beginning to show, in pure narcissistic fashion that seems to be characteristic of all amateur politicians.

Then it all crashes down
And you break your crown
And you point your finger
But there's no one around
Just want one thing
Just to play the king
But the castle's crumbled
And you're left with just a name
Where's your crown, King Nothing?

Again, this reiterates his whole wanting to ‘play’ president rather than ‘be’ president.  The difference is staggering.  While he isn’t the first to do this, nor will he probably be the last, he is definitely the first in my lifetime.  However, now that he’s been exposed as an incompetent buffoon for his mismanagement of an unconstitutional war, terrorist strikes, oil spills, and his recent childish firing of a general over a perception of insults, it’s clear that his castle has crumbled and he’s pointing fingers.

I heard one talk radio show host refer to Obama as our first teenager President (I think it was Rush Limbaugh, but apologies if it was really Michael Savage).  He has all the maturity of a teenage boy who’s just been promoted to manage a Starbucks.  Obama, the ‘Prez’, is nothing more than a spiteful child and this latest incident with McChyrstal proves it.  If President Bush had done this, would anyone have thought it was appropriate?  Most pundits would be attacking him for having thin skin.

Obama is our very King Nothing-in-Chief.  Kudos to Metallica for prophesying his rise to power in the mid-90s with this song (I’m joking there, in case you’re too dense to figure it out), and it’s one of the better ones to boot:

The Best Thing IS Nothing

For once I am going to do something that I don’t normally do and cut our President some slack.  When it comes to the British Petroleum oil spill in the Gulf, Obama should not be considered to be at fault for either the accident, as some are suggesting, or for the subsequent response.

I am getting sick and tired of hearing conservatives on the radio day in and day out harp on how Obama hasn’t done this or how he’s acting like a child instead of leader in this situation.  I am tired of hearing about how he isn’t doing enough to stop it and doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Now, we’ve lost any hope of offshore drilling for at least a couple of years because of it.  You demanded that Obama, that the government, do something about this and they did.  Seriously, what did you expect when it comes to a bunch Left-wing Statists?

Look, I am a pro-limited to no government kind of guy.  In my opinion, the worse thing that can happen is if the government steps in and does something, no matter how good a job it actually ends up being.  Sooner or later, you’ll pay a serious price for it because the government always oversteps its authority in the end.  That’s the nature of the beast.

So when Obama wasn’t doing anything about the oil spill, I was actually supporting our President in his enormous non-effort.  That meant that BP was on the clock to fix the problem and since they are nothing but a bunch of greedy business tycoons, they have a much greater incentive to fix this problem as quickly and cleanly as possible.  The government, on the other hand, would only have the motivation that was equal to the anger of the voting public, which on a national scale doesn’t amount to much.  And usually the national politicians are so full of themselves, that they don’t listen to their people anyway.  That’s why it’s called representative democracy, where the leaders only pretend to listen when it comes time for their performance reviews.

As for this whole Bobby Jindal thing about not being able to do something because of Obama, don’t you think that if it was a huge deal, he should’ve done it anyway?  The truth is, if something is that urgent, I would do it and ask for forgiveness after the fact.  It is easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.  So obviously, it wasn’t that urgent to Bobby Jindal until after it was too late and now he placing blame on Obama in order to score political points.

That’s how the game is played though.  Take his outrage for what it’s worth.

Lastly, I am severely disappointed in the so-called conservatives on the radio about this whole thing.  They really have laid into the President on this crisis and acted as though the government was suppose to take care of this.  Show me where exactly in the Constitution it says that the Federal government should protect the business interests of fishermen.  Show me where it says that we should expect the President to clean up the messes of a private entity.

This is largely why I’ve pretty much left conservatism behind and stayed true to my core being as a liberty-minded sovereign individual rather than someone who expects the government to be capable of doing good.  It’s really disheartening to see all these pundits talk about limited government but demand that the government handle something that the private market can and is handling on its own.

So I say, good job on this one Mr. President.  Please stay out of everything else and I may even vote for you in 2012.  Apathy and lethargy are the qualities I look for in a national leader and they are a virtue under the Constitution.

Our Warmongering Half-Cracker President

President Obama must really enjoy war.  He has declared war on just about everything and keep the status quo going.  It’s really not a surprise that our half-white President has decided to keep the wars going because that’s how the big government is maintained.

The government thrives when there is an enemy to fight.  So long as we are in some kind of a crisis in some capacity, we will always be suffering under the cold iron fist of a tyrant in some form or another.

Think about it.  In the whole history of our societal wars, the solution has always been bigger government for our own safety.  Why does it not seem to be working?  The Drug War, started by President Nixon, has been kept up by Democrats and Republicans alike.  When it comes to brass tax, the Democrats are quick to condemn drug use despite having been heavy users themselves back in the day.

The war on poverty has been a huge failure as well.  The main reason behind this is because the government is constantly raising the standards and stating that the poverty level in America is higher and higher every year.  Another factor is that they base the measure of poverty solely on income and not on equity, which is the real standard of success.  For those of you who don’t know what equity is, it’s the difference between total value of what you own minus your total debt.  That is the true measure of wealth in any society.  Income is used by the government, however, because the data already collected through taxation and it’s fairly easy to spin it.

The war on terrorism appears to be a rallying failure.  So far, the government has occupied foreign nations with a marginal degree of success, failed to understand the true nature of Whabbism and it’s relation to radical Islam, and hasn’t bothered to close down our borders and deny visas to all foreigners who come from Islamic countries.  That is the only way we will stop the terrorists from attacking us. We’ve been lucky so far in that most of the recent terror attacks were perpetrated by morons.  Of course, our military seems to lack enough sense to allow guns on their bases, which makes them a prime target for shootings.

President Obama inherited these failing wars, but to simply call him a warmonger for maintaining those is a bit of a stretch, I admit.  But every new President needs a new war and so Obama has declared war on private industry.  In other words, he has declared war on the producers, failing to understand that his misplaced idealism only works in fantasy land and in the real world, such policies are parasitic.  Every good parasite knows you don’t kill the host, but Obama is too stupid to realize this.  Or maybe he just doesn’t care.  In any case, he has declared open season on private companies.

Our President is a lot like the last few Presidents we’ve had: a man in a suit with a lot of empty words and misplaced action.  For every evil in the world, real or perceived, our President vows to stamp it out with his boot.  But sooner or later that boot will turn on us because sociopaths always need someone to abuse.

(On a side note: if anyone is offended by me calling our President a “half-cracker”, keep in mind that he had a white mother who raised him along with his white grandparents.)

The Faux Deterrent of Nuclear Arms

So the latest non-issue has conservatives and many Republicans moaning and outraged over Obama’s newly developed nuclear policy.  The outrage is about Obama setting policies where nuclear arms aren’t used against countries that don’t have them, even if they attack with other kinds of weapons of mass destruction.

Normally, I would agree that showing our hand in this manner would be detrimental to our foreign policy and cripple our standing amongst our enemies.  At face value, it would certainly open us up to more attacks from foreign powers and many of them would now look down upon us.

The fact is, though, that this is nothing more than a clarification of what most of these foreign powers already knew, or at least suspected.  The thing about nuclear weapons is, nobody wants to use them  I bet if we did a poll where the question was should we nuclear arms in response to a non-nuclear attack on the United States, at least 90% of the people polled would respond with an emphatic ‘no’.  The others would suggest that maybe we should do it, depending on the situation.

The truth is, nobody in America has the will to use nuclear arms against any nation, whether or not they have nuclear weapons themselves and whether or not they have attacked us with any kind of weapon of mass destruction.  America had lost the will to use nuclear weapons long before President Obama solidified this unspoken agreement.  As such, they exist solely as a relic of a madness that overtook two nations, neither of which has truly recovered from that long, cold war.

Since they haven’t been a deterrent for at least a decade or more, then there is no point in pretending anymore.  If we lack the will to use the full power of our military against other hostile nations, then we should not be too concerned when the President echoes this sentiment.  Whether or not he knows this is up for debate because nuclear disarmament has always been a staple of the communists in America.

A sad result of all this is that we continue business as usual with the madness of more wars that are prolonged where nuclear weapons could end many of these wars in very short order.  I’m not advocating nuking entire regions in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but if we were willing to do so, do you honestly believe that 9/11 would have even happened?

As a nation, we should be willing to go to war with all the weapons we have at our disposal.  That includes nuclear weapons and a sad fact is that President Bush was perfectly to paper bomb whole villages but not wipe them off the planet with just one.  The stigma of nuclear weapons has eliminated the image of them working as a deterrent.

Conservatives and Republicans should take note of this and not latch on to Cold War-era ideals that don’t do us any good anymore.  It is time to stop this faux outrage on what is nothing more than a continuation of Bush’s own policies when it comes to foreign wars and national defense.

Obama: Ascension

The more I observe Barack Obama and his current reign as President, the more I realize how much in over his head he’s gotten himself.  He is probably starting to realize it, if he hasn’t already, and this is evident by his some of his actions like deciding against civilian trials for Islamic terrorist leaders.

You see, we all would like to be President of the United States, to some degree or another.  Now pretty much all of us are content to settle for what we have and lack the ambition and drive to achieve that goal, but we all would want the job.  We probably have lofty dreams about what we would do once we got into office and all the things we would change.

This is exactly the kind of attitude I believe Barack Obama had when started running for President.  It looks like, to me, he had no idea what the job really entailed and he was probably pushed into it by the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, who didn’t want Hilary Clinton there because she couldn’t be controlled nor was she pretty to look at.  Back in 2004, Obama was a virtual nobody in the DC political area.  And when he gave his stellar speech at the Democrat Party Convention, everyone decided that this guy was the best man for high office.  I’m almost certain that several Democrat Party leaders realized that they had made a mistake in supporting John Kerry.

And thus, the grooming began.  It wasn’t hard for them to manipulate Obama because he had been groomed all his life by Leftists.  His mother was a big Leftist, Frank Marshal Davis, Bill Ayers, and probably countless others.  In essence, they hollowed him out and planted their ideology in his head.  Obama was the perfect drone to do the bidding of the American Left.

And so, when he became Senator, it was really a step in the direction of moving him toward the Presidency for these Leftists.  At the time, Hilary Clinton was the frontrunner for 2008 and just about everyone knew it.  But the American Leftists didn’t like her because she could not be controlled.  She also had a track record of screwing things up, like the push for Socialized Medicine in 1993-1994.  Their Holy Grail was so close back then and the American Left firmly believes that her mismanagement is what screwed it up, not the voice of the people.

This time, they needed a puppet who talked the talk and looked great and who could appeal to the dumb masses.  Bonus if that person was a minority.  And Obama made his stirring speech to the Democrat Party in 2004 during the rally for Kerry and they found their guy.  He was the perfect puppet for their Utopian vision or sleazy power grab, whichever way you look at it.

So when they told Barack Obama that he should run for President, which was probably back in 2005 or just a little earlier, he of course liked the idea.  He knew he had some powerful people backing him up and they probably laid out the plan for his ascension to high office right then and there.  He, of course, accepted because he lacked the wisdom to understand the magnitude of the position he desired.

Leadership, you see, requires that you give up your rights for your responsibilities.  In essence, the more responsibilities you take on as a leader, the more rights you give up for yourself.  I believe that Obama is starting to realize this now that he’s been President for over a year.  This is probably why he has really been pushing the health care “reform” bill because it is probably the last delusion he can hold on to before everything breaks down and he realizes how big of a mess he’s really in.

When he finally breaks down, though, it will probably be swept under the rug, but it will be apparent by the subtle change in his behavior in public and his shift in attitude.  You’ll probably see less of him on television.  And that’s something I think we can look forward to.

Current Presidential Facades

Well, I have to hand it to Obama: at least he trying to make an appearance of fiscal responsibility:

Trying to win the votes of fiscal moderates, President Barack Obama formally endorsed legislation Saturday creating an independent commission with the power to force Congress to vote on major deficit reduction steps this year, after the November elections.

Obama’s statement gives new momentum to efforts in the Senate now to attach such legislation this coming week to a pending debt ceiling bill. But the endorsement comes so late that it risks being seen as just a ploy to win over swing Democratic senators whose votes the White House needs to lift the federal debt ceiling.

“The President is demonstrating exactly the kind of leadership we need to tackle our nation’s long-term fiscal challenges,” said Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), a lead sponsor of the legislation to create an independent deficit commission. “His support shows that he is determined to do what is necessary to put us back on a sound long-term course.”

Really, I can’t help but smile in amusement at the President’s sudden interest in fiscal responsibility.  It’s not all that believable, because of two factors: one, he’s a Leftist Democrat and, two, he has a history of not showing any regard for the fiscal health of the Federal.  Need I remind people that he said that the Federal government was out of money and then turned around and pushed through a huge pork bill masked as a stimulus bill.

What is even more amusing, as Matt Drudge pointed out, is that he plans on forming the commission after this year’s election.  This is an obvious political move and really has nothing to do with balancing the budget and stopping the exponential growth of government and the national debt.

All that aside, let’s analyze the concept of creating a commission real quick.  Basically, we have a serious problem: the Federal government is borrowing more money than it is confiscating from ordinary citizens.  So the solution is to appoint a commission to determine what needs to be done?  Now, I’m not all the sophisticated, in fact at best I am sophomoric on a good day, but why not just veto any budget that isn’t balanced?  Once you do that, you hold a press conference, preempting some popular television show, explaining that Congress is giving drunken sailors a bad name and they need to shape up.

But instead, Obama appoints a commission to fix this problem.  I can remember two very unproductive commissions during the Bush years that accomplished nothing.  There was the 9/11 commission, which didn’t even take into account the Able Danger project, and the commission on tax reform, which determined that we need to rollback to what we did in 1988.

In short, this whole commission is nothing more than a facade, like many things done in government, and are really designed to keep the status quo while making the appearance that our beloved leaders are doing something.

This Just In: Apparently Obama Sucks

So apparently the big and “fresh” news of the past two weeks is how incompetent Obama and his insane mime posse have been totally inept in handling the war on “terror”.  Janet Napolitano, who is more concerned with white guys who have “Don’t Tread On Me” flags than Muslims with explosive underwear (I wonder if he crapped himself and that’s where it all went wrong…), has proven to be utterly foolish.  So much so that the mainstream press can’t just simply spin this one for her.

I wonder if Ms. Shoulder Pads ever considered the magnitude of responsibly she would have as Secretary of Homeland Security.  I bet if she had, she would have told Obama to go fornicate himself and then dunk his head in the toilet and flush.  Instead, like all the others, she probably just looked at the power and forgot about the rest.  Someone should’ve given her a copy of the movie Spiderman before she considered the job offer.

But the only thing I can really blame the administration for is the piss-poor spin job they are doing.  Former President Clinton should have been the press secretary.  We’d get someone who was enjoyable to watch and still wonder if he’s got an intern under the podium.  I’d smoke to that, if I did smoke.

And I can’t really blame President Bush all that much either.  He was marginally more competent than Obama, but still was as much a Statist as his wife enjoyed knowing that women had the right to scrabbled the brains of their unborn child (yeah, I said it).  In actuality, this whole mess could be traced to the Cold War Era policies of creating as many intelligence and law enforcement agencies as we can get away with.

How can we honestly believe that with 15 intelligence agencies and several law enforcement agencies to boot, that we can successfully correlate all that information correctly?  Seriously, with each agency and department butting heads and competing for more of my grandkids’ money (I have no children yet, just so you know), are we to think that all these layers of egomaniacs will protect us?

So, in light of all this, I have some recommendations for Obama.  In the spirit of Orwell’s 1984, we must downsize.  In that book, there were only four agencies that ran the entire nation of Oceania.  We must consolidate each intelligence agency and begin firing the buffoons running them.  If you want to distinguish yourself from President Bush, don’t reorganize the same a-holes under a new manager or add another layer of bureaucracy.

Instead, it is high time that we trimmed the fat.  Our government is nothing more than an obese man trying to chase down a chicken in the mud.  It makes for stupid YouTube entertainment, but lousy national security.

The failure of our national security system is not political correctness necessarily, but merely big government and stupid bureaucrats, who couldn’t make it in the real world, dictating decisions based on their own inflated egos rather than the interests of protecting American lives.

Until we reduce the size and scope of government, we will continue to see terrorists attempt more and more things.  And it is only a matter of time before a 9/11 or higher caliber attack hits us again.  Stop playing games with our lives Mr. President and take this stuff seriously.

The Leadership of King Ahab

I’ve been reading the Bible in one year, again, and this time doing it chronologically.  I’ve just finished the reign of King Ahab, possibly the worst king of Israel (there was one who was worse in Judah, I think).  King Ahab represents everything you shouldn’t do when you are a leader of millions of people and hold complete control over their lives.  He is also an excellent reason for libertarianism because no matter how foolproof the system may be, there will always someone like Ahab to mess it all up.

So just what did Ahab do that made him such a terrible king?  There is a laundry list, but I want to focus on a few incidents in his life.

The first thing was how he reacted when he wasn’t able to buy a vineyard from one of his fellow subjects.  He wanted the vineyard because he wanted his own special garden built there or something.  Really it didn’t matter because he was rejected as the owner wanted to keep the vineyard that was essentially his inheritance.  His property, his choice, after all.

But King Ahab was not happy about the decision.  So instead of accepting the man’s decision and moving on, he went up into his bed chamber and sulked like a baby for a very long time.  His wife, Jezebel, took notice of this and asked him what was wrong.  When Ahab explained the situation, she promptly had the man killed and Ahab proceeded to take the vineyard.

This story illustrates the kind of man Ahab was.  He was nothing more than child in a man’s body, easily influenced by his deceitful wife who sleep with many other men besides her husband.  Talk about a big wimp.  For a man who is suppose to have the skills to rule over millions of people, he sure did not seem to have much sway over his own wife.  And he was perfectly willing to allow her to oppress his subjects provided he got something in return.

In another incident, Ahab was meeting with Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, and consulting various prophets concerning going to war.  Jehoshaphat asked if there were any prophets of the Lord among them that he could consult, because he was a righteous man.  King Ahab’s response was that there was one, but he always said bad things about him so he didn’t like him.

Jehoshaphat responded simply that a king should not say such things.  I wholeheartedly agree.  When you find yourself in a position of power and authority, you will be faced with many critics and people who will say things you won’t like.  That doesn’t mean that they are wrong and you are right.  So not only is Ahab a whiny man-child, he is also arrogant and only wants to hear certain things.

Well, this prophet did say something bad, that Ahab would die in the subsequent battle, despite the Israelite victory (I think they won that battle, although they probably didn’t, it was difficult for me to tell exactly what happened over all).  So Ahab has King Jehoshaphat ride into battle like a king while he hides among the army as a regular soldier.  The opposing army was ordered to target only the king of Israel and so they attacked Jehoshaphat.  During the fight, these soldiers figured out that Jehoshaphat wasn’t Ahab, and so they let him flee.  Meanwhile, Ahab gets struck by an arrow and dies by sunset on that day.  Ancient Greek playwrights couldn’t have written a better ending for this scumbag.

So what was the problem with King Ahab?  Well, he was childish, lacked wisdom, believed himself to be always right, and never, ever could take criticism from anyone who spoke the truth.

And I believe that Barack Obama perfectly echoes King Ahab’s personality in many ways.  His wife is controlling and domineering and she likes to show off her fancy dresses.  She even convinced Obama to let her mother live in the Whitehouse.  He himself can’t take criticism, not even jokes about his big ears, as evidenced by his attacks on Faux News (as they shall be forever dubbed by shutting out Ron Paul last year).  He is arrogant, believing that he has the will of the people behind him, and he comes off as a child in his dealings.

President Barack Obama is a modern day Ahab, weak-willed and easily swayed by others who are stronger willed than he is.

I Do Not Accept The Premise, Mr. President

So yesterday, during a speech with a labor union, President Obama demanded that the Republicans and all other opponents of his health care “reform” bill propose something different.  He wanted to know what we all have planned instead of what the Democrats are pushing.

What is ironic is that he stated we were accusing him and his supporters of wanting to “pull the plug on grandma” and everything else that is probably more accurate than he would like to admit.  Rather than addressing those accusations, he simply demanded to know what we do instead.

For starters, how about a plan that does not involve pulling the plug on the elderly?  Kind of like what we have right now, where people have the health care they can afford.  Medicare does not include the gradual removal of coverage but it will once everyone else has the same form of coverage.  Even the Veteran’s Affairs department has a death guide encouraging people to evaluate their circumstances and consider if allowing themselves to die is the best option.

I do not accept the premise of the President’s argument.  It is the same premise that used again and again by the statists in an effort to try and put their opponents on the defensive and disarm them.  When the banks were on the supposed verge of total collapse and financial Armageddon was supposedly on the horizon, the Statists insisted that they had to do something.  Likewise with the third stimulus bill that Obama and the Democrats passed through almost immediately.  Apparently, the government had to do something, right?

Even some of my co-workers have expressed their own discontent with the bill itself although I have heard them ask that something be do, because they have to do something about it.

This really goes against the age-old engineering rule that if it is not broken, do not try to “fix” it.  By and large, Americans are satisfied with their health care coverage (upwards of 70% or more) and tinkering with it will only ruin it for a large portion of those people.  If people are content with their plans, why must you insist on “fixing” it?

The best solution for Obama and his Democrat followers is to do nothing whatsoever.  I know that is a tall order for many of the moral busybodies, but if you have the will and the patience to do so, you will retain your seats in Congress if you simply back off and give the American people a break from your shenanigans.

But if you pass this piece of legislation, and I fully expect you to do so, then you will see a massive backlash.  I cannot say whether or not you will retain your seats, because you probably will in spite of it, but I will say that all of us crazy folk who cling to guns and religion may establish a better government in your place.

As for the Republicans, all you have to do is sit back and vote ‘no’ to the bill.  Why does the likes of John McCain want to do something about all this and compromise with the Democrats?  Have you not screwed us all over enough by denying conservative jurists on the bench, allowing banking bailouts, and losing the Presidential run?  Do you really have to continue to compromise with the irrational?  How has that worked out so far?

It Must Be Devastating

With the whole health care reform (for the worse) debate still ongoing and with the Democrats fighting a losing battle, I am wondering how President Obama is doing.  I wonder if he has slumped into a deep depression over all this.  The whole thing must be devastating to him.

It is not that I care about him anymore than I care about some stranger I see on a street passing me by, it is just that I am wondering if President Obama has ever been told “no” before in his entire life.  Looking over the bits and pieces of his life, he seems to have everything given to him.  He grew up with his rich, white grandparents where he was given a great education, he was given great positions pretty much because he was black.  As a self-proclaimed community organizer, he probably always got his way.

In fact, the only person who probably opposed him up until now, besides his political opponents, was probably his wife.  I suspect that Michelle Obama is a little crazy.  Notice how she has been largely kept out of the spotlight even though she is the first lady.  While a first lady is usually in the background, they are usually seen doing some kind of humanitarian or social work.  All I have seen from her so far is her shopping and vacation habits.

In any case, right now President Barack Obama is facing the sad truth that the vast majority of the American people (and I suspect it is a lot larger than the polling numbers) do not want his form of health care.  Many of us are perfectly satisfied with our health plans, in fact just about everyone who has some form of health insurance does not want it to be messed with.  When Congress tried to pass the health care plan, the people actually read the bill and realized that this was not what we wanted.

Moreover, Obama’s past statements confirmed that he and his cronies are nothing more than a bunch of liars.  President Obama wants a single-payer system in place where the government will decide how you die.  After all, if the purpose of health care is about keeping you alive, then a bureaucrat determining your treatment plans based on a pre-defined system, rather your own personal choice, is ultimately what will result.

The exposure of being an outright liar combined with the ferocity of the people at these town hall meetings has probably placed a huge load of stress and doubt upon an egomaniac like Obama.  It would not surprise me if he has taken to drinking a lot more and picked up an extra pack a day.  When the voters overwhelmingly voted him into office, along with his party taking both houses, he probably believed that he had what the Chinese referred to as the “Mandate from Heaven” (the translation is probably very loose).

Now it seems that the very people he believed loved him with all their heart, all their mind, and all their soul now may have only liked him a little better than John McCain.  They may have just been tired of the hypocrisy of the Republican party, which promised smaller government and no wasteful spending, but failed to deliver when the bill came due.  Maybe the American people were just interesting in dealing with the devils they knew rather than risk their own wealth and prosperity on a known maverick.

Anytime a person is knocked off their high horse, serious depression always ensues.  While I have absolutely no sympathy for Obama, I worry about what he is going to do about.  An egomaniac never reacts well to such humiliation.  Tyrants have always reacted badly to having their weaknesses exposed and Obama definitely has the mind of a tyrant.  Only time will tell what happens next.

As for the rest of us, remember that their agenda is about controlling you.  To them, we are nothing more than sheep and they are our rulers.  Let us remind that they are suppose to be our representatives and not our overlords.

Reasonable Doubt

The one thing that always allow for juries to render a not guilty verdict in a criminal trial is the presence of reasonable doubt.  That is, the prosecution failed to produce enough evidence that allowed for a conviction.  Reasonable doubt does not mean that the jury believed there was some wide ranging conspiracy behind the brutal slayings of prostitutes instead of the man the police caught with one his victim’s heart in her freezer.
In the case of the eligibility of President Barack Obama, he has yet to disprove reasonable doubt.  I say this because he has failed to produce legitimate documentation that he is, in fact, a natural born citizen.  Yes, there has been a certificate of live birth that has been release, but this is the short form and apparently it is very easy for foreign born nationals to obtain one.  Also, the “birthers'” are looking for the original document from when Obama was born back in 1961 and basing his legitimacy as President based on Hawai’i state law in that time period.
The facts are these.  John McCain’s own eligibility was seriously questioned because he was apparently born in Panama and that has some bearing on being a natural born citizen.  President Obama was not given the same scrutiny by the people who investigated John McCain, probably because it was a committee of primarily Democrats who wanted to win at all costs.  That last part is pure speculation, but given the current political climate where integrity and honor mean nothing to politicians in Washington D.C., I have to assume that there was a malicious intent on not taking the United States Constitution was not taken seriously.
A soldier, Col. Louis B. Wingate, filed suit claiming that he was not allowed to follow deployment orders from an illegitimate President.  Indeed, he made a compelling case and the Department of Defense actually canceled his deployment orders.  This is significant because if President Obama was legitimate, the soldier would not have had a case.  But instead of producing the necessary paperwork in the face of a lawsuit, backed down.  That reserve soldier then lost his job at a defense contracting firm, probably in retaliation for daring to question the legitimacy of the chain of command.  The military can be a little nuts about order and discipline sometimes to their own detriment.
For me, the question of Barack Obama’s eligibility is a serious one.  I believe he is probably a natural born citizen and therefore a legitimate President, however, the actions above cause me to acquire reasonable doubt as to the nature of his legitimacy.  Any reasonable person could easily see that.  I know that the reporting on World Net Daily has at times a little wacky, but for the most part I respect Joseph Farah and he seems to have something that most other newspaper editors lack: integrity.  I do not trust mainstream publications largely because they have done their best in the past to endanger our country and many of them should have been locked up for treason a long time ago.  I do not say this lightly, but when they leak information about how the government is monitoring terrorist activities, that is tantamount to aiding the enemy in my mind.  In any case, I have yet to see World Net Daily purposely endanger the lives of Americans for simple ratings.
The more I read about this issue and the more I hear about, I wonder if Barack Obama is in actuality a Kenyan national.  Given the circumstances of his birth and his childhood, he could easily have been passed off as a natural born citizen simply because most people do not require the long-form documentation for things like school registration.  I do not have to show my driver’s license when I go to vote, even though it is a more legitimate proof of identification than my voter registration card.  So it is perfectly reasonable to assume that anyone could pass off a foreign national as a natural born citizen of the United States given what we know.
But the issue is a serious one.  For all the illegitimate legislation that has been passed through Congress over the last century and a half or so, never once have we ever had a person in high political office who did not meet the simple, basic requirements as outlined in the United States Constitution.  I dare say that this would probably be the final nail in the coffin of a free nation if it turns out that President Barack Obama was not a legitimate president all along and he still keeps office because the bureaucracy and the Congress refuses to remove him.  This is why the issue is so serious to me.  A serious investigation into the matter is required because it is the right thing to do.

Enough With the Distractions

So President Obama decided to weigh in on a local Massachusetts last Wednesday or Tuesday (I do not know because I do not watch much Television these days) about a white police officer arresting a black man in his own house.  Talk about an easy target for a race baiter to make.
Apparently, Professor Robert Louis Gates, Jr. was having trouble getting into his own house.  His driver helped him bust into his house and then left.  A woman passing in the neighborhood saw what was happening and called the police.  I guess she thought it was a burglary in progress, but I do wonder what her motives were.  I am sure that she meant well, but if the men had been a different race, would she have acted differently?  This is not to say she is racist, but that she was in what was probably an upscale area with mostly white, affluent people, so it would be understandable if she was applying some kind of racial profiling.  She did say that she did not mention the race of the two individuals in her 911 call.  The police themselves have confirmed this.
In any case, Professor Gates responded to the police at his door in a very confrontational manner, denying any wrongdoing and not producing identification when the police asked him.  Now, I am not a fool, but I think this guy was right to tell the police to go to Hell.  Honestly, I think you should have the right to demand that the police produce a proper search warrant before the identification can be forcibly produced.  No police officer should ever have to require you to answer them or allow them to search your property, all of your property, without getting a warrant.  I know this ties the hands of police officers more than what people are used to these days, but justice can still prevail in that kind of atmosphere, mostly because criminals are much, much more stupid than the average adult.  Usually, most convictions involve a confession of some kind given by the defendant because he or she was dumb enough to talk to the police.
Common sense, however, dictates that this man should have produced identification and then told the police officers to leave.  Afterwards, he should have contacted a realtor and found a new place to live.  But that last part would probably take several months.  I do not think I could stay in a neighborhood where everyone assumes I am a criminal because of either the color of my skin or their failure to attempt to get to know me.  I am sure that Professor Gates will do that anyway.  Unless he is a race baiter himself.
But this whole incident has been blown out of proportion because Obama actually dared to favor a black citizen over the police force.  Somehow, this translates to the President not supporting the police force, which is ridiculous.  As far as I can tell, he also never indicated that the police officer was racist, but then again I could be wrong on that count.  The conservative establishment media (talk radio and the Internet) assumed that he was being racist because they know he is.  I have no argument against Obama being racist, largely because I read excerpts from his book, but to assume that a racist will commit racist acts all the time is like assuming a Christian will always turn the other cheek.
With the President trying to spend us into oblivion, assume greater and greater control over us, and lending support to radical groups he is affiliated with, somehow this story is pushed to the forefront.  While I like to keep current by regularly visiting the Drudge Report, most of the time I feel that it is the National Enquirer of conservative media.  Then again, that is not really an insult considering the state of most “mainstream” news sources.
So enough with the distractions already.  Let us all focus on the ever expanding government and combat that, instead of focusing on petty and foolish things that are nothing more than distractions from a larger agenda.  I am almost certain that the big distraction this has caused was the result of the President’s advisors telling he needs a controversial distraction in order to pass his own agenda.
So please, keep that in mind when you observe the President’s actions and words.  It could just be an elaborate ruse for him to try and grab power.

Why I Support Sotomayor for the Supreme Court

Yes, that is correct.  I support a crazy, bigoted, single, Hispanic woman for the position of the highest court in the land.  But I do so, not because I agree with her point of view, but because she is open and honest about who she is.  As far as I can tell, she has made two remarks in the past that have pretty much confirmed to me that she is highly qualified for such a position.

The first of such remarks was when she said that the Federal courts, both Inferior and Supreme, are the law of the land.  She said that they make the policies that determine this country’s fate and direct us in the path to go.  While such a statement is debatable, as the Supreme Court has not really done anything incredibly big since 10 years before my birth (I was born on January 22, 1982), it certainly has the power to tell the President and the Congress “No.”  This power is largely unconstitutional in my view, as the United States Constitution never said the courts were to be the final arbiters of the law, but that is how the game is played, with few exceptions, ever since Marbury v. Madison.

This first remark I heard about from her, in the form of a sound bite on Rush Limbaugh’s show, demonstrates to me that even when she did not hold the highest office in the land, she was still arrogant enough to tell everyone what most judges think.  She speaks her mind and that is more than what can be said for other people in the court system.  Someone like her needs to be on the Supreme Court so that the irrational side can be fully exposed.  After all, when the motives and ideas of the irrational side are out in the open, the rational side will prevail in the end.  This is largely why left-wing politicians hide their true intentions and call for bipartisanship.  They know that is the only way they can win.

The second remark she said that made me fell that she was highly qualified was her statement that she knows better than a white male because she is a Hispanic woman.  Such blatant sexism and racism is refreshing.  Make no mistake, this was a racist comment to make, because racism is the belief that one race is superior to another simply because of race.  The same would apply for sexism.  While I certainly disagree with her statement, because to me it does not matter if you are woman or Hispanic and because the measure of superiority is an abstract and relative concept in any field, I do believe that she needs to be on the Supreme Court in order to prove her wrong.

I cannot wait to hear her opinions on various case laws.  They will probably be riddled with racist statements about how minorities and women (because there are more women than men in the United States, so they are not a minority), have been oppressed by a few elite white males like Ted Kennedy, Joe Biden, John Kerry, etc.  I cannot wait to hear about how people like me, a white man who has worked hard to get into the middle class, who went to college without too much debt and acquired a degree that has marketable value, is responsible for all the lynchings, all the Jim Crow laws, and all the assassinations that took place back in the 1960s.  It is OK, Justice Sotomayor, I got that guilt trip all throughout my literature readings in government schools, so I think I can take it.

For my fellow conservatives, this may seem like I am giving up on the country.  I am not.  I am only giving up on the government, something I did at around 2005 when President Bush was unable to deliver on so many things he promised and continued to allow Congress to raise spending, despite having a Republican majority in both houses.  It was then that I realized that the people who should have the will to fight do not and that the people who are fighting us, the people who have brought so much ruin on this world, have so influenced and corrupted the minds of the dumb masses, that I doubt our government and our country will be great this century.  But then again, a retired Bishop I traveled with in Uganda once said that he believes God has preserved this century for Africa.  The way things are going now, I could not agree more.

A Marionette Loses a String

Well, that was the joke.  President Obama lost a teleprompter yesterday while making a speech on urban and metropolitan policy.

While the scenario is certainly funny and amusing, it makes me wonder: why does this guy need a teleprompter so much?  Seriously, this was not a very important, career-making speech after all.  It was just a press briefing on the economic direction this administration wants to take us on.

It is not like any of us took time out of our day to watch this briefing.  No one would have know about it, save for one ABC news reporter writing about it on his blog.  Frankly, most Americans care more about celebrity pop than some boring speech from a politician, even it was our first celebrity President.

I guess the easiest and simplest answer is the one that fits best: Obama is nothing more than a puppet or marionette (or Muppet) who has no real thought of his own.  Normally, this would not bother me.  Most people in the whole wide world have no thought of their own when it comes to political matters.  They usually agree 100% with someone else who appears to know what he or she is talking about.  But this man is suppose to be the Chief Executive of our government and the leader of the free world.  And he cannot speak off the cuff about simple economic matters?

It is obvious to me that our President is, at the very least, being driven by his own ideology rather than his own mind.  This is a dangerous thing to have in any position of power because such people can easily be influenced by outside forces and will fail to make serious decisive action.  Such inability to make a serious decision will ultimately lead to horrendous results.

It is one thing to have a bad decision maker.  It is wholly another to have a no-decision maker.  No wonder the Russians refused to shake his hand.

Should this be the sole quality of an elected leader?  No, of course not.  But it should have been one the determining factors in deciding who should be your leader.  Most people are too incompetent to lead other people and they are barely able to keep their own lives in order.  If you cannot speak from the heart, then what good are you?

Say what you want about President Bush, at least his was not afraid to speak off the cuff, even though the media, who uses lots of editing and teleprompters to appear articulate, mocked him for it.

I guess this is ultimately a reflection of America, where appearance matters more than substance.  I guess beauty really is only skin deep.  That means that Sotomayor is unqualified to serve as a Supreme Court Justice because she is ugly, not because of her crazy ideological bent.  Do not be offended by that, because I am just using the logic that the media wants me to go by, after all.  Do not worry, I will scrutinize her properly later.

The Wisdom of Bullet Tooth Tony

“Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity” –Bullet Tooth Tony

Truer words were never spoken and could not be more accurate when describing the Obama administration. The moves made by the extreme leftist presidential administration are easily discernable.

Barak Obama is a true product of leftish brainwashing.  He lacks a free will of his own in that he has let others mold his ideology for him.  Why do you think he has so much trouble with public speaking outside of a teleprompter?  On that note, I seem to remember my public speaking class in college where I was encouraged to use only a small set of notes.

Obama is a puppet.  I do not know who the puppeteer is, and I doubt that Obama himself could really tell us.  The puppeteer does not have to be an individual or a group of individuals either.  It could very well be simply the left wing ideology he echoes out of his mouth when speaking without a teleprompter.

I fully expect Obama to do his damndest to get us all under a government health care system.  I fully expect him to continue the policy of torture and the war on terror.  I expect him to try and expand the classification of terrorists to people like me, his political opposite.  I admit I supported the USA PATRIOT Act back when it was first passed, however, I changed my mind about midway through Bush’s second term and realized that this act could be used in a similar fashion that Clinton used the IRS in the 1990s.

The point is that the policies pushed by Barak Obama are predictable and not surprising.  His multiple appearances on primetime television, as annoying as they are, are predictable in terms of his ego.  Obama is a great example of a teenaged slacker given the managerial position at a Starbucks.  My only hope is that he will find himself unmotivated to much of anything while President.  Unfortunately, I suspect his wife is very domineering and will motivate him to do things he would rather not do as President.

Oh, and look for the sex scandal that similar to Clinton’s, and probably on the same scale, to come out at some point.  With an ego as big as his is, with an adoring public, a lack of morals, and a domineering wife, you bet he is out having affairs.  It will not surprise me if he fathers a lovechild as President if he has not done so already.
