The Reflection of Us

Culture matters.  It matters because it is how a society determines what is socially acceptable and what is not.  The Japanese, for example, have maintained a near constant culture despite all the technological changes around them for centuries.

Well, they did.  These days due to the decay of their culture we are seeing less and less young people interested in breeding.  But that seems to be taking place all over the world right now, save a few select pockets.

But for a culture to be dismantled, as ours has been, we will see the destruction of a people.  Governments can come and go, along with technology and currency, but a consistent culture is what keeps a nation together.

The Soviets realized this back in the 1920s and 30s and so they set up operatives in our major entertainment industries, primarily in movies, in order to dismantle our culture, since art is a major part of it.  And even though the USSR is long gone now, we are still seeing these very same policies in play today.

The only way to save our civilization from the cultural rot is to fight back.  We can no longer ignore the communists who run our top cultural institutions because to do so will mean the end of America and the beginning of something much, much worse.

I choose to restore our values as a liberty-minded group.  The liberty club is a club that allows all members who are respectful of the life, liberty, and property of others.  They recognize that government should not take such things without first going through due process and the parties accused must be assumed to be innocent until proven guilty.

It is one that recognizes vices as what they are: horrible sins that should be avoided in favor of virtues such as prudence and moderation.

The dominant frame right now is that vices are good.  Everywhere you turn Lust and Envy are the order of the day.  Nearly every social issue is currently framed in a manner as to which one benefits that vice more.

Poor impulse control and high time preferences are promoted while thoughtful or insightful people are considered fools.  This is the culture we have.

But the one we need is one that we have to restore.  You can argue that technological changes are the reason behind our cultural rot; I argue that technology happens in response to a shifting culture.  I wonder what our cellphones would have been like had the communists not won the propaganda war on the last half century.

I choose to fight it.  All of it.  I am tired of seeing a bunch of lunatics run our major institutions and calling us names whenever we question them or their motives.  They are wicked, evil people.  Mental disorder doesn’t describe them all that well.

But there are no laws that can be passed to fix all of this.  The first thing that needs to be done is to walk in the ways of traditions long forgotten.  And from there we need to encourage others to do the same.

Because culture is really a reflection of us.
