The Elite 85

The Los Angles Times provided this little “insight”:

The 85 richest people on Earth have the same amount of wealth as the bottom half of the population, according to a new report that highlights growing income inequality as political and business leaders gather for the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Those wealthy individuals are a small part of the richest 1% of the population, which combined owns about 46% of global wealth, according to the report from British humanitarian group Oxfam International.

The study found the richest 1% had $110 trillion in wealth -- 65 times the total wealth of the bottom half of the population.

That bottom half of the population owned about $1.7 trillion, or about 0.7% of the world's wealth. That's the same amount as owned by the 85 richest people, the report said.

Naturally, this is clearly a class envy piece.  Envy has become a virtue rather than a vice ever since the age of feminism reared it’s ugly head.

It’s a very potent vice, by the way.  Largely underestimated by many until it has destroyed the very things that people wanted to begin with.  It plays on our desires for better things to the point where we hate the things that we once desired.  It is the primary vice of women, although men are affected by it as well.

But despite the fact that this article has the stench of envy, it does highlight an interesting problem with the world today.

You see, in a true free market society, we would not see this level of discrepancy.  The primary reason that 85 people own half the world is because they control the purse strings of the most powerful government leaders of the world.  In doing so, they use the government to defraud the rest of us by eliminating competition by any means necessary.

The solution to this is the total elimination of governments across the world.  This will not happen though as most people are comfortable with their governments and actually believe that their leaders are benevolent and compassionate.

In truth, our government serves these 85 people.  More government will not solve the issue and only serve to further eliminate any possible competition that those 85 people face, along with those who immediately follow them in wealth.  This is why the US Congress, for instance, overwhelmingly passed a banker bailout back in 2008 during an election year, weeks before the election I might add, despite a majority of people opposing it according to polling data.

Your government leaders do not serve you because you do have enough wealth to compete with those 85 people.  They serve the ultra rich, always have and always will because of the substantial bread crumbs that are thrown their way from the elite 85.

Voting will not resolve this issue.  Voting is merely a façade instituted by the elite 85 and their cohorts in order to make you think you have a say in what our government does.  Despite the fact that nobody voted for torture of prisoners, legalized sexual assaults by the hands of blue, and total, absolute surveillance of all of our communications.

No, they voted for the beady-eyed failure and the lazy black guy.  They didn’t realize that voting for them meant implicit agreements to carry out the will of the elite 85.
