Where Did All The Money Go?

So apparently, the United States has lost 700 billion in collective value recently. People are wondering where the money went, since it couldn't have just disappeared, right?

Wrong.

Value, you see, is dependent on simple human preference. So if a bunch of investors decided that this 700 billion no longer exists, than it no longer exists. I'm no financial expert nor savvy business guy nor even an expert in economics. But I have a pretty good idea about human nature and our tendency to place value on certain goods and services over others.

My belief is that this "value" was nothing more than inflated debt. Good riddance I say.
