Multicultural Fail

In what many in the mainstream media are describing as oppressive and tyrannical, Ugandan lawmakers have passed an anti-homosexual bill:

Ugandan lawmakers on Friday passed an anti-gay bill that calls for life imprisonment for certain homosexual acts, drawing criticism from rights campaigners who called it "the worst in the world."

The legislations sets life imprisonment as the penalty for gay sex involving an HIV-infected person, acts with minors and the disabled, as well as repeated sex offenses among consenting adults, according to the office of a spokeswoman for Uganda's parliament.

The bill also prescribes a seven-year jail term for a person who "conducts a marriage ceremony" for same-sex couples.

When the bill was first introduced in 2009, it was widely condemned for including the death penalty, but that was removed from the revised version passed by parliament.

Meanwhile there is uproar over this legislation.  Because imprisoning people for raping children and the disabled is the worst thing in the world.

Sarcasm aside, why is not considered murder if you have sex with someone while you have AIDS and don’t tell them?  Or attempted murder?  If I had a terminal disease in a syringe and injected a person with it, I would be on trial for murder.  Knowingly transmitting a disease that will kill the person who gets it is murder, pure and simple.

But where it really gets interesting is a few paragraphs down:

Homosexuality was already illegal in Uganda under a colonial-era law that criminalized sexual acts "against the order of nature," but the Ugandan lawmaker who wrote the new legislation argued that tougher legislation was needed because homosexuals from the West threatened to destroy Ugandan families and were allegedly "recruiting" Ugandan children into gay lifestyles.

Ugandan gays disputed this account, saying that Ugandan political and religious leaders had come under the influence of American evangelicals who wanted to spread their anti-gay campaign in Africa. Ugandan gays singled out Scott Lively, a Massachusetts evangelical, and sued him in March 2012 under the Alien Tort Statute that allows non-citizens to file suit in the United States if there is an alleged violation of international law. Rejecting Lively's request to dismiss the lawsuit, a federal judge ruled in August the case could proceed, saying systematic persecution on the basis of sexual orientation violates international norms.

Lively denied he wanted severe punishment for gays, and has previously told The Associated Press he never advocated violence against gays but advised therapy for them.

In other words, we have a Ugandan government looking to protect their people from the corrupting influences of the West.  They do not wish to see their children fall into the gay lifestyle in a country where AIDS is much, much more serious than in the West.

What I find interesting is that many of these Leftists are all about multiculturalism, except when that culture attacks one of their sacred cows.  The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender group has always been a protected class among the Left-wing where their serious mental issues are praised as normal.  And I mean mental issues that go beyond just perverted sexual relations.

The LGBT “community” is so deranged that they will attack people for simply speaking out against their lifestyles.  In the above case, we had an American pastor who never advocated violence against them, unlike their own government, but simply professed that they needed therapy.  But in the minds of the pervert, non-violence and violence are one and the same.

Between Uganda and Russia’s own anti-gay laws (Russia’s wasn’t even that bad, just banned pride parades and gay education to children), we are seeing a backlash against the “multicultural” West.  I really hope it continues both abroad and here at home.  It is high time we stopped the culture of the decadent and wicked.
