Remember the Challenger

Today is the anniversary of this terrible tragedy.

I remember when my high school math teacher talked about the astronauts onboard the challenger and how it took five minutes to finally crash into the Earth.  He said that it was determined that the crew was awake the entire time and that he can’t imagine what it would be like to know you are going to die for five minutes.

Neither can I.  I imagine it was not a pretty sight.

For all our pride and arrogance, at the end of the day, we are still fallible.  No one is exempt from this.  Remember the Challenger and how humanity can achieve great things, but that sometimes, it backfires.
