Pictures of the DC Rally

So my wife and I went to the DC rally today to kill the healthcare bill.  I don’t know how much good it will do, but I really hope that anyone on the fence will realize that there are large majority of us in America who vote and do not want this.

There were lots of people there, even though my wife and I were about an hour or two late.  But we were able to partake in rallying around the congressional offices and yelling at the politicians who passed by us.

Here’s some photos I took while I there:

This was the protesters in front of the Congressional Budget office.  A simple walk to the Capital was made not so simple by us.  Don’t worry, nobody was violent or obtrusive.  We all respected the police officers who were allowing us to be there.

After a while, House members came out to meet us:

This last guy was booed as he passed by.  I’m not sure who he exactly (my life is more than obsessing over House members’ faces), but he’s pretty brave to pass by the crowd that was there.

These last few are some shots of the protesters from where I was standing:

The big red flag there was a marine corps flag.  Probably the largest flag there.

So I spent much of my afternoon in DC hoping that some of these House members on the fence would realize that even if they lose their election in November, maybe they should leave with some level of integrity.  By voting against this terrible, disgraceful, and unconstitutional 2000+ piece of garbage, maybe they can wake up in the morning and say, “I did the right thing.”

We can only hope.
