One of the tired old lines from the pro-choice crowd is about pro-lifers want the government in your body (as opposed to a man’s semen that causes the “need” for an abortion in the first place). The government is forcing a woman to have a baby she does not want and is therefore violating their rights as an individual.
I can certainly sympathize with that notion, as I would not want the government involved in any surgical procedure on my body, telling the surgeon what he or she can or cannot do. But wait, is that not what the government will be doing with health care reform?
I am sure that there are many pro-choice people who oppose Socialized medicine in whatever diluted form Congress is pushing for and will probably pass. After all, it is a violation of our bodies. But the radical, left-wing pro-abortion groups are either silent on the matter or in full support of it which proves, yet again, that they are nothing but hypocrites.
The radical pro-choice crowd is a seriously wicked bunch. No matter how serious the crime or the problem, as long as abortion is legal, they do not care. They supported George Tiller despite obvious evidence that he was fudging his records in order to violate Kansas state law. Repeatedly, whenever a state calls for law to increase the safety requirements of abortion clinics, such measures are shot down by these groups. Whenever a law is proposed that would require parental consent for underage abortions, they oppose it as well.
It gets worse. I have heard of adults driving underage kids not in their guardianship across state lines in order to perform abortions where there are no parental consent laws. Do these people get charged with kidnapping? No, they do not.
These are fairly reasonable demands to be made for abortion. There is no way that it can be made illegal since everyone is Hell-bent on obeying the Supreme Court’s final decisions despite them not having the constitutional authority to be the final arbiters of interpretation. So while that goes on, no state will make it illegal. But that does not mean they cannot regulate it and ensure that it truly is safe, legal, and rare.
Organizations like Planned Parenthood, though, are only interested in keeping it legal, but not safe or rare. In fact, I am sure that if a girl died while in the care of Planned Parenthood, the organization itself would look at their liabilities and not care about their safety procedures or investigate what went wrong. I am sure that hush money has been passed along in the form of out of court settlements to victims families in those cases.
Planned Parenthood itself is a very corrupt organization that stands in direct opposition to Christianity. This is not just because they are pro-choice, because they have produced propaganda with a serious anti-Christian bent. I remember a cartoon they produced that painted Christians as simple-minded when it came to such serious matters as sex.
They also continually post a serious profit as an organization, despite being regarded as a non-profit group. When is the IRS going to investigate them and start treating them like a corporation rather than a non-profit organization? I am not going to hold my breath on that count.
But what sickens me most about them is that they always take the moral high ground when it comes to their organization’s values. They claim that they are helping women deal with a serious situation and that all their anti-Christian slander is about freedom. But when it comes down to it, they are an organization that profits off of scrambling an unborn baby’s brain so that some college slut can continue her Woman’s Studies degree.
OK, that last part was probably an exaggeration, but you get what I am walking about. Planned Parenthood makes money off of abortions and so while they can claim that it is all about freedom, in the end it is all about the almighty dollar.
I personally have no problem at all with any organization making money, so long as it is honest, peaceful, and moral. And it seems that Planned Parenthood has violated all three of those standards, which earns them my eternal disdain, for that whatever that is worth (not much, I know).
There are other radical pro-abortion groups out there, but I used Planned Parenthood because they are the most prominent and widespread. Our country will not survive as the founders intended so long as groups like that continue to operate without serious condemnation from not only pro-life groups, but other, more moderate pro-choice groups.
And so I ask that all the moderate pro-choice folks out there stand up and tell these radicals to shut up. Do any of you exist out there?
