Obama's Eligibility?

So there's been a lot of "underground" news organizations that have been reporting the possibility of Obama's status as a natural born citizen of the United States. If he isn't one, then of course he isn't eligible to be President and we've all got a real mess on our hands.

But what I find interesting is that many people are willing to just gloss over this issue and ignore it. This is a dangerous stance for the media to take, as well as any ordinary citizen. The reason is simple: if he is not eligible, then there is a serious break down in our election process, more so than any of us could have thought a year or so ago.

I would rather see Barack Obama fully disclose all of his documentation that proves he is a natural born citizen. At least then, it's all in the open and no one will complain ever again. Unfortunately, he hasn't done that and continues to completely ignore such lines of questioning.

This is not a partisan issue. This is an American issue. I know that Obama is probably eligible, but even with a small chance he isn't, it must be thoroughly investigated. Liberal or conservative, you have to agree with that sentiment.

UPDATE:

Looks like he is eligible, as I suspected. However, the overall point was to illustrate the problems inherent in the election process. A formal investigation by the FEC with a fully disclosed report should have been done and probably would have been done a century ago.
