In case you missed it, the CIA has stated an interest in controlling the weather:
The CIA is funding a study examining various ways mankind can geo-engineer the planet -- blocking or limiting the sunlight that reaches the Earth, stripping carbon dioxide from the skies, seeding the clouds and so on.
The project, a panel called “Geoengineering Climate: Technical Evaluation and Discussion of Impacts,” is backed by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NASA -- and the U.S. intelligence community.
That’s spy-talk for the CIA, William Kearney, a spokesman for NAS, told Mother Jones.
So why would the trenchcoat troops meet with the eggheads?
"It's natural that on a subject like climate change the Agency would work with scientists to better understand the phenomenon and its implications on national security," Edward Price, a spokesman for the CIA, told Mother Jones. He refused to confirm the agency's role in the study.
Funny, I didn't know that the climate was under the prevue of the CIA. I thought that the agency was supposed to just be an intelligence gathering organization in order to help the United States avoid attacks from terrorists.
Here's the thing: if they are so concerned with the climate, then they should be completely defunded and absorbed into the Environmental Protection Agency. I mean, how many other projects have they been working on that distracted them from their true mission? Could they have prevented 9/11 had they been doing their damn jobs?
And another thing: isn't messing with our atmosphere in this manner dangerous to the well-being of our planet? I mean, removing carbon dioxide would suffocate plants for one thing. On top of that, there could be long term destructive consequences to what they are doing. We've already had a nuclear war scare, one that could start up again, and now we're going to have a weather control scare.
Which brings me to my last point: the CIA has already proven its ability to perform targeted assassinations of American citizens via drone strikes, so what's to stop them from using the weather to kill American citizens? This isn't some paranoid fear, this is a proven, rational concern. The CIA have never had the protection and well-being of the American citizen in mind, it is more interested in protecting the well-being of themselves and any of their corrupt buddies, be they in the government or outside of the government. They've already been caught smuggling cocaine into the country on several occasions for God's sake.
This story, by the way, didn't come from some fringe Internet site. It comes from Fox News, a "mainstream" news source. So this is not made up, this is not some crazy guy's lies, this is a legitimate report.
And despite all this, the average jack-off doesn't care. You don't care that our government is trying to control the weather. Because football season is coming up. Or because you think it makes us secure. Morons.
